EnglishFor english, I wrote a short story coming from a prisoner who was in solitary confinement due to being threatened by the other inmates in the prison. He went over his experiences and throughout the story he begins to go crazy. I linked most of the things I said in the story to real life events and experiences of different people who went through confinement. To start this, I did a bunch of research on stories of solitary and the survivors experiences. I used these stories to prove why solitary is so bad and to give actual evidence. I wrote my story and added these things to it with a description in the margin.

ArtFor art, I made a virtual gallery on art steps. I did this by going around the school taking pictures of things that show confinement. I edited the pictures and then I uploaded them to my gallery. I also used pictures from the internet to show how small the cells are, behaviors the people go through, and also protests that have gone on to try and end solitary. After I gathered all of the pictures, I built my gallery. I also added a jail cell in there to show how small it is and also a bird cage to show the feeling of being trapped.

FocFor foundations of citizenship, I created an infographic to prove that solitary confinement shouldn't be used or it should be limited. I added information on the amendments and rights that are being violated and why, different experiments that have been done to prove the changes your brain goes through in solitary, and the damage that stays with you even after you leave. This information was important for my infographic because my intent was to prove why solitary is so bad and the things that have happened that most people probably don't know about.
